Auckland Transport makes a Short Announcement
I received or was rather forwarded a very brief announcement via someone else on a short announcement on HOP – Auckland‘s Integrated Ticketing Scheme.
I was deciding beforehand whether to post the announcement before Auckland Transport does the official announcement on Tuesday (latest from the rumour mill). I have concluded I shall publish the announcement on the basis of; the information of the message, “instructions” it contains, and the fact it should not upset AT as this information is pretty much in the public domain already;
This is the announcement from Auckland Transport on HOP
AT have announced the following statement this morning:
The current HOP card is only available for use on NZ Bus buses. HOP Snapper Cards will be phased out and replaced with the new AT HOP card when NZ Bus services become part of the integrated ticketing system. We will keep customers updated of developments through marketing activity and through information available on both the MAXX and MyHop website.”
Please inform customers that an official announcement will be made next week. We advise customers to sign up for updates at http://www.myhop.co.nz/pages/subscribe.aspx
Thus as it has said in the last line, an OFFICIAL announcement will be made next week (Tuesday from what I am hearing).
The announcement was meant to be yesterday but it has been delayed due to the NZ Bus driver stop work meeting Friday afternoon. Will not know when the actual announcement will be made – yet
And it seems the Official Announcement or rather Press Release from AT on HOP has been delayed. Reason unknown, new time for the Announcement/Press Release – unknown.
Heck what is going on over there, it is not the end of the week just yet
Mate I just into hot water for posting slimmer content on ATB blog and the CBT forum. Might want to be careful about this.
