I agree with Sir Barry Curtis the former mayor of the former Manukau City Council that all our high tension wires that are part of the National Grid should be put underground if within Auckland AND especially if within the urban limits new or old.

I acknowledge Housing NZ (and its predecessor) and Councils are equally to blame to allow urban development to occur underneath the overhead wires.

So come one, lets bury this cables and get at least one blight out of Auckland…
