Unitary Plan Submission Complete

After a couple of months plugging away at it my Unitary Plan submission was submitted to Auckland Council this morning.

Owing to the size and complexity of the Unitary Plan in itself I narrowed the submission focus down to:

  • Residential Zones
  • Super Metropolitan Centre Zone

As mentioned in my Unitary Plan Update post the Unitary Plan processes still have a long way to go. So now I go into the wait and see mode on where next with my submission. Will Council support or oppose my submission points, will I be going through pre-mediation talks and caucusing before the full hearing, and what can I expect at the Independent Hearings Panel insofar of could my points make it into the final and operative version of the Unitary Plan.

It is like one part of the journey is over and another one is soon to begin.
