Unitary Plan Submissions Close Friday

Last Chance to get your say in on this significant planning document

Tomorrow at 5pm the deadline will pass on submitting on the Proposed Unitary Plan. Yes you can submit again later on in the year but you can not add any NEW material as you can in this submission round. You can get an update on what happens post deadline at my Unitary Plan Update post.

There is no time now to get an extensive submission in on the Unitary Plan such as the one I have written however, there is still time to get in a submission that is simple but just as effective. If you are wanting a more “progressive” Auckland rather than the status quo car-centric dull Auckland, I recommend heading to the Cycling Action Auckland Submit on the Unitary Plan! and using their base points for your submission. All submissions to the Unitary Plan can be made here (would not recommend posting now as it might not make the cut off): Electronic Submission Form. If you are using the CAA submission base points it should take no longer than 30 minutes to get a submission drawn up and sent it.

Currently Auckland Council is indicating 2,370 submissions are in with a late flurry in tomorrow.

Also today the Council (Governing Body) will be debating and “ratifying” their submission to the Unitary Plan. You can see their submission below.
