Operating but there were delays

I am still carrying out my usual checks on the Electric Trains running on the Onehunga Line after they went back into full revenue service last night (see: 5:16pm and 5:46pm Britomart – Onehunga Services running – as Electric Trains ).
This morning we did see the Electrics (EMU’s) run on the Onehunga Line however, not without issues as I noted on Facebook this morning:
I would pass on the good news that yes the Electric Trains are running this morning on the Onehunga Line. Well they are however, we are back to the same situation prior to the grounding with EMU’s over 8 minutes late again, stand by buses at the ready, and an ADL diesel diverted to Onehunga owing to an EMU being over 8 minutes late…
To be fair I did also note that Southern Line trains were being routed via the “Up Main” at Penrose Station this morning (Up Main means to Britomart, Down Main means away from Britomart) when coming from Britomart heading to Papakura. The reason for this rerouting is not known and could have been the reason the EMU’s were delayed this morning. That said having a Diesel ply the Onehunga Line to bring the timetable back on track rather than bringing in another Electric has me uneasy on whether the fault that caused the groundings has been truly cleared. Stand by buses while good does not entirely inspire confidence that fault has been cleared either to a level of satisfaction that would not require stand by buses.
Next update will be tonight.

There is a 20k speed restriction on the South End crossovers at Penrose. I wonder if that had something to do with the right hand running.
