Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse Outlines her Disgust at #Dirty Politics

Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse has made her disgust known in a guest post over at The Daily Blog site. It is disgust I also share in knowing what the dirt merchants (as the Deputy Mayor has called them) did in very personal attacks against the Mayor (who did something that was morally wrong which is a given). Those attacks threatened to destabilise the Council in its 2013-2016 if it were not for the leadership of our Deputy Mayor (as well as Councillor Christine Fletcher) in which the City rallied behind.

Fast forward to know with the 2015-2025 Long Term Plan debate (as well as the Unitary Plan debate before the Hearings Panel) and the City is quite occupied (rightfully) with it as its people work out the future forward while finally leaving the legacy era behind.

Knowing we have some big City Building ahead of us this LTP debate will decide which way we will go in our City Building.

We should be blessed with the fact Council is pretty much stable in being able to handle the big debate. Sure you will get the fringe folk still fixated on err appendages and stuff more suited to a R18 flick however, for the majority of the City  the main focus is Long Term Plan in itself.

I am thankful that we as a City were blessed with a Deputy Mayor such as Penny Hulse that led us through a distressing time and that karma is being extracted on those who would subvert our democracy.
