This time I talk Manukau land sales, and transport funding

Recently I was on location in Manukau City Centre being interviewed on both the recent decision by the Auckland Council to allow the sale of land inside the Manukau City Centre, as well as talking alternative transport funding.
Tomorrow (October 29) the Independent Advisory Board(?) is meant to be releasing their Alternative Funding Package (probably under a different name) for Auckland’s transport building regime. No doubt more on that will come through the official channels as that happens. But what to do in trying to plug a multi-billion dollar funding gap to get Auckland’s transport fully on-stream. Well apart from gutting the Integrated Transport Program back from some of the gold-plated schemes (most seem to be roading projects) I offered the following in the All About Auckland Show.
Transport Funding Dead in the Water? – All About Auckland Show – Episode 40
The advisory group looking at alternatives for funding transport infrastructure is scheduled to deliver their preferred option for funding the city\\\’s ongoing shortfall next week.
Our expert guests Cr George Wood, Patrick Reynolds and Ben Ross assess the alternatives for transport funding.

I will cover follow-up coverage on the Manukau land sales (after noting this: Blogger gets council attention to city strategy ideas)
