While needing some loving I did find a surprise along the way
When I do not forget I usually take pictures during the Summer break when walking around the various places of Auckland.
Yesterday I did remember as I was walking around Hayman Park located on the western side of Manukau City Centre. While walking through someone was trying to feed the ducks but got a surprise (as we all did) on what he was actually feeding instead.
The Hayman Park walk:
Hayman Park was due for an upgrade under the Otara-Papatoetoe Area Plan until all the money like so many other Local Board projects disappeared owing to main Council budget “issues” in the current draft Long Term Plan – due out for consultation next month.
Hayman Park is the Manukau City Centre version of the City Centre’s Myers Park, that is a big green lung in a city centre area providing green space to a higher density area. Now how about Council honouring its obligations and sprucing up Hayman Park to the World’s Most Liveable City standards please – today!
