The inquiry will examine:
• the steps Auckland Council took to assess the project and to put in place appropriate management and reporting systems for the project;
• how Auckland Council is managing the risks of conflicts of interest and related-party transactions within this project; and ensuring appropriate separation and allocation of costs for the work carried out for the benefit of Auckland Council and for NZRPG;

It is not known when the Auditor General’s report will be completed and subsequently released.
In any case my Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act request into an independent report on the Westgate saga in 2012 is still be processed. You can see the LGOIMA and earlier commentary in these two posts:
AUDITOR GENERAL TO INVESTIGATE OVER WESTGATE METROPOLITAN CENTRE DEVELOPMENT

Weird report on stuff today about the film studio work going to Hobsonville with another “incentivising deal” from council – this time free land. Westies have already invested $4million into the film studios as a strategic industry so we could provide jobs and wellbeing for locals. It was run by councillors for which the public never saw a return. And now the councillors, lead by Penny Hulse, are offering a sweet deal for the studios to move a huge international film job to the city of Hobsonville Point. Penny Hulse says, we have an obligation to provide jobs in Hobsonville Point. Right so steal jobs from Henderson. But what about the people of Henderson and Waitakere. What jobs and industry or strategy have the Councillors got for those existing areas? Nothing. More safety patrols to deal with the crime because of lack of investment in the west. This scheme is the same area as the Westgate deal and just an extension of the shady deals. Where are our representatives on this? Ah yeah. Nowhere. It’s all politics.
