The results so far are becoming both more definitive and diverse.
Definitive in that not many have stomachs for rate increases but diverse in what transport options we want and how to fund it.
However, I am worried about Question 2b which asks about how would you like to fund the Auckland Plan Transport Network. I would deem that question push polling as it bottles you into two superimposed choices from the Mayoral Office rather than allowing two other options that would allow us to say ‘None’ or ‘Other.’ The comment section below 2b while you can go to your heart’s content on posting something else rather than rates, taxes and tolls it is not extremely clear you can do so….
In any case as it was said in response to the latest updates:
“Agree Ben overall the questions do a poor job of linking what Auckland needs with the cost. But I think we know the reasons for this.”
Indeed I hope not for the Mayor’s sake….
