Auckland Development Committee Agenda – March 2015

Cost of Growth Study back on the Agenda

The March Auckland Development Committee agenda is up and looking at it, it should be more of a quiet one compared to last month.

The only item that might cause any stir is the Cost of Residential Servicing report that was deferred from last month. I have covered the report previously in which I outlined that it did not favour either side of the urban planning debate (compact or sprawl). But whether the Councillors get that into their heads and actually get the Cost of Residential Servicing (Cost of Growth) matched up to the Spatial Priorities and Special Housing Areas so mentioned in Long Term Plan consultation documents. My commentary on the Cost of Growth report can be seen here: COST OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICING REPORT BEFORE COMMITTEE – UPDATED

I will not be live Tweeting this particular Committee this month as I will be further down Queen Street at the Topshop/Topman opening also on Thursday. Yes I like to see what the “fuss” is all about (and the fact to see if a second store could ever be opened in Auckland).
