This morning I joined Matthew Beveridge as part of the TV3’s The Nation Twitter Panel. The subjects covered were:

  1. Port of Auckland with Mayor Len Brown
  2. The German-Wings air disaster
  3. Drilling and Mining and does it make NZ “rich”

The Council Auckland Development Committee meets on Wednesday to discuss both the Port Precinct in Closed Session, while the Open Session will discuss the Part Two Study concerning the Port.

I feel sympathetic for Chair and Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse trying to navigate the Committee through Wednesday. If not from grandstanding Councillors then from the Mayor himself who has not helped the situation at all.

I will be watching the Committee via the webcast feed rather than Town Hall and Tweeting from there.
