Still a bit to work through before October target date

Last night I gave my presentation to the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board for the two parklets proposal in Manukau City Centre. You can see the PDF version of the presentation below:

The presentation was received by the Local Board well and I requested formally that a target date be set for Labour Weekend in October to get both parklets running.

Of course we have the dual issues of both funding, and the land with it up for potential sale thanks to the Auckland Development Committee being short sighted.

None the less the wheels are turning and Manukau should get two new green spaces between MIT/Manukau Station and the Mall for you to enjoy your lunch in or just have a lounge around on a beautiful Summer’s day.
