New South Wales and wider Sydney Prepare with the Sydney Plan

 

I am keeping an eye over on Sydney as the Alpha International City continues to embark on a large planning exercise similar to Auckland with its Auckland and Unitary Plans.

Known as the Sydney Plan it maps out how Sydney and surrounds will grow for the next thirty years. The Plan is at the bottom of this post. But below is some video’s as the State Government takes the people with them on their journey:

 The question left is this:

New South Wales State Government is taking the people with her and preparing to go pretty much all out at Warp speed in building a 21st Century Sydney with this plan.

Can Auckland with its two most powerful Council Control Organisations (them being Auckland Transport and soon Development Auckland) do the same using the Auckland and Unitary Plans as the templates?

The question implies the two CCO’s pretty much leaving our Council Governing Body behind and working with the Local Boards for the sake of building a 21st Century Auckland like Sydney.
