Operational July 1

This Thursday the Governing Body of Auckland Council will convene again. This time it is right after the Budget Committee (same day) in which the Governing Body will formally adopt the Long Term Plan. Once that is done the Long Term Plan (the Budget) will go live from July 1.

From what I have heard in musings from the Councillors the Long Term Plan should pass without too many issues. The Southern, Western and Rodney Councillors seem happy with individual projects heading their way especially on the transport front. Of course at individual budget line level it could get interesting especially around the Auckland Development Budget where the distribution of money spent seems out of kilter.
