Still not caring when there is a Block of Lines on the Rail Network
After last Wednesday’s omni-shambles with Auckland Rail Network where Auckland Transport simply was “too busy” to “deal with it” (see: This Is What Auckland Transport Thinks of You – The Rail Passenger [UPDATED] ) it seems we are repeating things down in South Auckland this afternoon.
Some Tweets for you from a user experience on the Southern and Eastern Lines where there is bus replacements this weekend:
A quick check and I note both no pressers to bloggers and the Main Stream Media nor anything on the front page of the AT website:

Where you do find it is this little piece here after clicking “View All Updates”
So again that is what Auckland Transport think about you the Rail Passenger (and for that matter the front line staff). In other words they simply don’t from a user experience side nor thinking for the staff right there at the coal face!

The train network in Auckland is fatally flawed — has been from the very beginning — and needs to be re-thought from scratch. Every incremental improvement that gets made is like putting lipstick on a pig. The more money we tip into this dog, the more it is going to cost future generations to fix. Our kids deserve better.
Not sure if it’s outright stupidity or sheer arrogance. They certainly need a short sharp reminder of their role.
