One year delay however, we do get to have feedback on the designs soon
Those following the blog know that the Manukau Interchange has a being one of my “watch-topics” that in this case I have been watching and commenting on since 2013 when the project went to the then Auckland Plan Committee for approval (and my objection soon after).
Well confirmation yesterday in the Auckland Transport Board – September Agenda showed that the Manukau Interchange will not be fully completed until August 2017, some four years and five months later after the 2013 approval at the Auckland Plan Committee.
The concept design for the new Manukau Bus-Train interchange is nearly complete and will go to the local board prior to public feedback. It is now not due to be completed till August 2017.

While we finally get public feedback on the Interchange (we were not going to with the 2013 designs which was one of two reasons I objected to those then designs) we are for the interim stuck with an Interim solution which can be seen below:
The Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board meets I believe on October 5 in which the Interchange concepts will be presented to them. When the concepts go out for public feedback is dependent whether those concepts need to go to the Auckland Development Committee at the end of year from the back of a Resolution I got from that Committee seeking an update.
Updates will continue on this long and vexed subject.
