Enjoying Auckland’s green

New Years Day means fingers crossed it does not rain (which it didn’t) so that the family takes the annual pilgrimage to the Auckland Botanical Gardens in Manurewa – South Auckland (before you ask the family gets together often but the Botanical Gardens one is one of the treats getting everyone together outdoors).

And so down the picnic rug goes under a tree (be in quick as the trees get snapped up fast) out comes the food and drink, and out come the bikes for the kids. A great way to spend an afternoon out in the green that Auckland has been blessed with. Green we need to look after as the City intensifies as it continues to boom.

YUM, our Nectarine tree has produced its first fruits and YUM they are sweet!
