Government announcement on road pricing incoming

 

Mayor Phil Goff dropped a clanger on The Nation today indicating that a Government announcement is coming on Road Pricing. You can see the Mayor’s remarks below:

 

 

While Fuel Taxes have been ruled out by the Government, Road Pricing was first refused to be ruled out by John Key last year then slowly firmed up with Finance Minister Steven Joyce saying it was coming over the medium term.

 

So what the announcement will entail is yet to be seen.
