Greater Auckland Illustrates Travel Times to the Airport from City Centre on Both Airport Lines

Remarkably good

This morning Greater Auckland has published travel times to the Airport using both Light Rail and our existing Heavy Rail to the Airport.

What are the travel times? Well go read Calculating travel times to find out.

If you are wondering what Regional Rapid Rail will deliver it would be 20 minutes from Britomart to Puhinui Station and then eight minutes to the Airport on the Southern Airport Line so total time 28 minutes.

As for Papakura to the Airport? 35 minutes on the Southern Line and Southern Airport Line.

Botany to the Airport? Depends which stage the Southern Airport Line is at. If it is the existing 35 bus from Botany to Manukau then a transfer over to the SAirL to the Airport then it would be about an hour. If the full Southern Airport Line is from Botany to the Airport then around 35 minutes.

Put it this way, least you will not be stuck in traffic.

Nice work Greater Auckland on the travel time break downs.
