(Panelist at the) Avondale Community Hui

I will be one of the panellists at the Hui

At the end of the month I will be alongside five others in fronting a Community Hui on all things Avondale.

Further Information:

The Hui is being convened by locals, for locals and together we are asking how will big changes in Avondale impact you, your friends and whānau? This community conversation will be energised by five opinion makers who have been invited to share their insights and perspectives. There will also be a community sausage sizzle and entertainment and activities for the kids!

Attached is an electronic version of the Hui flyer which we would really appreciate your help in sharing – please send widely through your various networks. We are also sharing paper flyers throughout Avondale – please let us know if you’d like some copies to distribute too.

Guest speakers at the Hui are:

The Academic                                    Ella Henry                            He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!

The Poet-Politico                             Leilani Tamu                       And we came to this land of hope

The Planner                                        Nina Patel                           The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Commentator                           Ben Ross                             Talking Auckland: Less Spin, More Collaboration?

The Local Realist                               Silvia Spieksma                 Taking Action for Avondale: Just do it

The Community Worker               Jaclyn Bonnici                    Chairing the Conversation

We look forward to welcoming you at the Hui and thank you for inviting people along. If you’d like to know more, offer feedback or get involved, please be in touch.

Ngā mihi nui,

So if you can come along as while the Hui is on Avondale I am sure examples used can be easily shared across the rest of Auckland as well. This is as especially as the Council Community Empowerment Engagement continues to be developed from Auckland Council.

Hope to see you all there 😀
