Why the City Centre and for that matter all ten Metropolitan Centres Should Be Car Free – NOW

 

Especially as seven of the Metro Centres are already linked by existing Rapid Transit (either Busway or Rail) and within ten years all then Metro Centres and the City Centre will be linked by Rapid Transit if not more than one of the modes (Manukau and City Centre for instance linked by heavy rail and light rail).

 

So come on let’s get the first seven Metropolitan Centres car free (Papakura, Manukau, Albany, Sylvia Park, Henderson, Newmarket and New Lynn) as well as the City Centre, expand the Rapid Transit Network and get all of them linked up (Westgate, Botany and Takapuna being the last three).
