3000 Submissions In

Provincial Estimate as of February 28th

Auckland Council reports as of Friday the 28th some near 3,000 submissions were in for the Proposed Unitary Plan with more still on their way in.

From the Shape Auckland website:

Nearly 3000 submissions on the unitary plan have been registered so far, with more in the inbox and many more expected from libraries, service centres through the post and by email today. We don’t expect to have a final confirmed figure before the end of next week.

Don’t forget that if you’re submitting online, you’ve got to hit submit by 5pm to make sure you meet the deadline. See the online form here. Submissions can also be dropped off in any library, council service centre or local board office.

For ideas on topics to cover in your submission, these blogs give links to the variety of fact sheets available on:your local areaprotecting what we valuewhere we work and where we live.

As mentioned before we wait for the submissions to be codified, what Council agrees and disagrees on with out submissions, followed by a second submission round in late May either support or opposing the references that came out from Council as result of our first submissions.

So for now take a breather as we await May.
